  • Gaza measures 7-miles wide, 25-miles long with a population of 2.3 million

  • A blockade has been imposed on the movement of goods and people in and out of Gaza since 2007, led by Israel and supported by Eygpt

  • Over 36,000 Palestinian fatalities since 7th October - over 50% of these are women and children

  • 75% of Gazans are displaced

  • The education system has collapsed, with 100% of children out of school

  • The cost of damage to critical infrastructure in Gaza is estimated at around $18.5 billion (Approx £14.5 billion)

  • More than 200 buildings of cultural and historical significance have been reduced to rubble in Gaza, including mosques, cemeteries and museums

  • More than 400 healthcare workers have been killed in Gaza since October 7th

  • Animals and pets are also suffering, many have been killed, are starving to death or lost to rubble

  • People in Gaza are undergoing caesarean sections without any anaesthetic while others are being forced to use tent materials for menstrual hygiene, aid workers have revealed

  • Scientists estimate that more than 281,000 tons of carbon dioxide were generated by Israel’s aerial bombardment and ground invasion of Gaza in the first two months after October 7th

  • All children under five – 335,000 – are at high risk of severe malnutrition, with serious negative impact on their development and their right to health

  • At least 90 per cent of children under five are affected by one or more infectious diseases, and 70 per cent have diarrhoea
