Thank you Southport Mosque

The conflict in Gaza is taking a catastrophic toll on children. There are no safe spaces. All of Gaza’s children have been exposed to traumatic experiences, the consequences of which will last a lifetime. Their homes have been destroyed; their families torn apart. They are hungry and thirsty.

The community who attend the Southport Mosque have been collecting money for the people of Gaza after prayers. As they have no direct link with Gaza, they are sending their money via a Turkish charity who are then providing food to those that need it.

The man speaking on the video (in Arabic and Turkish) is thanking the community of Southport Mosque for their generosity and the written words in Turkish translate as "The community of Southport Mosque, England, have donated meals for 250 people” and 300 meals respectively.

Thank you to the Mosque Secretary, Shuheil Haque (who many of you will know from our fortnightly vigils) for these photographs.

Ceasefire Now.
